Phaung Daw Oo
Under the guidance of venerable Sayadaw U Nayaka and U Jawtika, 170 teachers and 20 staff provide education for thousands of children and monks as well as healthcare to the entire local community and a home to more than 50 orphans. The school provides everything for free surviving on donations where just $25 dollars keeps a teacher employed for 4 months.
Nothing is provided by the government.
The school's main focus is to give educational access to the poor children for who entrance fees are not necessary.
