The UK is one of the few countries around the world that takes a significant number of refugees from Burma each year. A significant proportion are re-settled from the many refugee camps along the Thai-Burma border and they are mostly resettled in Sheffield in the north of England. There are a small number of former political prisoners currently in England and to date 5 have been photographed.
